Don't sleep on this spot really good nutritious food made from great ingredients. The meatball sub literally tasted like a real meatball sub. The Oklahoma burger was good too. All this food without the nasty after effects. But the best thing by far are the fresh juices and teas. The watermelon and the blueberry lemonade make a great combo. The staff are very informative and polite god bless them.

Yep- still 5 stars here... I hadn't visited Native Foods in a while, so I decided to pop in just for a light meal. Once again, I was not disappointed! Food was spectacular, that lemonade knocked my socks off (although it was mostly gone!) and of course the service was outstanding. I really do like this place... quite a bit!

The people are friendly and the food is excellent! First time there today with my mom, and we tried the lavender lemonade, which was delicious. I try to cut back on sugar most of the time, so one of the girls working there said that she drinks half water with half lemonade, which was perfect for me. The Japanese sesame chicken bites are delicious over the slaw it comes with. I usually don't like slaw, but this one has a tasty, light dressing that doesn't overpower the veggies. The bites actually do taste like real chicken! the chicken, bacon, avocado sandwich was very satisfying, and the chili had a nice spicy flavor to it, and was paired nicely with a bit of lemon/corn bread on the side. The bread definitely helped cut back on the heavy spicy flavor of the chili. And the cashew cheese on top was a perfect substitute for the usual sour cream or cheddar cheese used in non vegan chilis. My mom ordered the tortilla soup, which i got to taste. It is one of the best tortilla soups I've ever tasted! Everything I tried there was amazing, and I look forward to trying more on the menu the next time I eat there.

I went to Native Foods in LA a few years ago and loved it. I recently moved to Portland and was very excited that there are two locations nearby. I had lunch here the other day and it was just as good as i remembered. Of course everything is 100% plant based (vegan). I had the original chicken wings (crispy without the buffalo sauce) and with ranch. The Chicken, Bacon & Avo Sub. The Blueberry Hibiscus Iced Tea. Everything was amazing. I was so full by the time I left but i simply went to the movies afterwards and enjoyed my food coma. I recommend this place for vegans and meat eaters alike. You won't be let down.

Love this place! Delicious vegan fare that you will never know was meatless! Get the sweet potato fries and a thing of vegan ranch.. You will not regret it! lavender lemonade and the reuben are to die for! :) Friendly staff, super accommodating, and overall great experience!

Be advised, this restaurant is vegan they are 100% plant-based - they serve no meat or animal products at all. YAY!! My own town is seriously lacking in vegan and vegetarian restaurants, so when I travel, I always try and find restaurants such as this to eat at. Oregon and Washington State are very vegetarian friendly, and I appreciate that. I was staying at a hotel nearby, and saw this place, so gave it a try. It was very clean and friendly. The room was bright and decorated very cool! You order at the counter (they are very friendly and helpful), and they bring it to your table. Prices were VERY reasonable for all the food that you got. In case you are interested, they serve beer, because my friend ordered a beer that she liked. I ordered the "Chicken" Run Ranch Burger (leaving off the ranch). OMG, it was SO delicious. Crispy batter and delicious vegan chicken. It was so awesome. It comes on a fresh bun, with a little salad on top. Really, really good! Sides don't come with the sandwiches, but we ordered a side of fries that were outstanding! My friend ordered the "Bacon" Cheeseburger. It looked really good, but I didn't try it. She ate every single bite, so it MUST have been good. I loved everything about this place. I wish it was in my hometown!

I heard about this place in a program run by Adventist, which I didn't realize was going to be a big Vegan push. That was back in February, right before I swiftly quit going when they asked me to give up meat, and you can probably still hear my eyes rolling as I exclaimed to my husband, "hell will be frozen before I give up meat on any level".... well, things must be getting cold in hell, as I have now been meatless for over a month. We needed to find a place to eat on our regular Friday outing, and I remembered people in the program raving about this Vegan place at the mall. That alone wasn't appealing, but we went anyway. Yes, parking can be a bear if you hit at any time, not just the usual time everybody thinks the mall is cool. But I figured, healthy way of eating - a few extra steps thrown in and I am practically a health fanatic. I had taken a gander at the menu online before we came, I signed up for the loyalty card, which instantly gives you a BOGO, yay the food was going to taste even better, since I declared mine was free. Now, you probably hear my husband's eye roll. Anyway, the food is really good. We tried the free range soy chicken wings. They were so good, and yes, even they tasted like chicken. My husband ordered chili and it had a cashew cheese on top, which before I ate it I questioned its existence, after I ate it, I knew it was now part of mine. Holy kittens, who knew you could turn a cashew into THAT and it be so good. I love it on their nachos, as well. Vegan does not mean healthy, as they do have fries and the dessert case that screams buy me when you walk in. That I haven't tried, as I am doing a no sugar thing right now, as well, Will update though when I finally decide to go back in. They did comp us a cupcake after they forgot to bring my husband's side dish out, so my DIL said it was really good. It was chocolate with raspberry filling. We have now gone back several times and I am kinda stuck on the portobello sausage burger. I love the whole roasted cloves of garlic on it and some magic sauce that makes you forget there is no meat within wifi distance. Check out the menu on line for pictures that will make you ask, are you sure that's not meat? Portions are large here, as well and the staff has been very nice every time. They bring the food out to your table and they bus them as well despite it having a kind of fast food feel to it.

I didn't realize that they had one here at the Clackamas mall! This has great stuff for the price. IT is a LOT of food..too much...so no need to really order an appetizer! I had the tacos for the first time and they were very yummy! Nice to know that it is here so close to me :)

Great place for lunch while out shopping. Everything is plant based but expect it to be delicious too. If you have any allergies or sensitivities, they are actually equipped to tell you what is in the food unlike most places out there.

Okay I'm a meat eating libertarian voting country lovin' SOB. I came here because like most things that turn out great my wife told me to... Staff is uber friendly...all of them. Cashier, busier and the managers that come around and thank you for your business and ask if they can get you anything. One even suggested a sauce he likes with the dish I ordered and brought some out. All the teas and lemonades range from good to great (yep, tried them all). The food is solid. The only all veggie place that the food actually stacks up well to non veggie restaurants (IMO). Soups, Salads, Wraps and Tacos are all good choices. As a lover of cow and think they are only good for cooking, milking and making baseball mitts out of....the texture of the burger just doesn't do it for me.

After a shopping day we were here to eat something. The restraurant is a little bit like a fast food restaurant, but the food is good. Fresh ingredients and gluten free and soy free options. For me it is a little but to expensive.

This is my first visit. It may not be my last, but we'll just have to wait and see. They tout the meals as "chef-crafted," which they may be. But they fall short of being home cook prepared. The food is very good IMO. But quality of dish leaves me wanting of more. And for what I paid, I expect much more. My two main gripes are that the steamed veggies had been borderline overcooked. And I happened to notice the cilantro was not well washed. But hey, I'm no wuss. I still enjoyed it all. The kids at the register and monitoring the dining area are friendly and perpetually smiling. The restaurant appears very clean and the tables are big enough for game night. If you're a cheapskate like me, skip this joint and maybe order a pizza instead. But if you wanna try something tasty and new and you're not exactly a superstar in your own kitchen, you just might find something to enjoy here. ** I need to add - While I could see browned bits of lemongrass in my side of broccoli, it tasted as if the "chef" went crazy with the garlic powder. It is called "lemongrass broccoli" for a reason, is it not?

This was my first trip to Native Foods Cafe. I'd never heard of this place before, but decided to give it a shot since I was walking by and hungry. I checked out the menu, and once I saw nachos my decision was made. The listed nacho components are black beans, Native Taco Meat, chipotle sauce, Native Cheese, salsa fresca and guacamole. My nacho arrived looking pretty appetizing, but with the first bite I felt something was wrong... It didn't taste quite right. The chipotle sauce was really good and the other ingredients were fresh, but still there was something off. I zeroed in on the taco meat, took a bite of just that and found the source of my displeasure. Something that I missed (mostly because Native Foods Cafe does a good job of explaining what they're about on the BACK PAGE of the menu) is that NATIVE = VEGAN. My mouth knew it had been deceived even before I did. The lack of meat didn't stop me from eating the whole nacho, and once I got past the odd taste and texture of the "taco meat" it was actually pretty enjoyable.

So, I guess I'm the only cotton-headed ninnymuggins that didn't realize Native means non-meat, non-dairy. When you step into the store, you can tell something is different because it smells like a health food store. I couldn't pinpoint what I was smelling (or not smelling) until after I had ordered and taken my first bites of food. I ordered a chicken wrap with crispy "chicken" and my first thoughts were "love all the fresh veggies, but this thing tastes healthy." You know what I mean. I really enjoy their chipotle sauce, which they use on several of their dishes. That stuff has the right amount of spice to creaminess ratio. Things I didn't like: it's pricey. And I don't like veggies pretending to be something they're not. If I wasn't totally blind about the Vegan thing, I would have just ordered a salad without any native "meat." Fake meat is never going to taste right to a meat-eater. I don't think I will be coming back, but I can see how this is a great option for people who live a Vegan life.

Been here dozens of times, often with carnivores, and everyone I bring loves the food as much as I do. My kid is 4 and he loves everything here. So does my picky teenage stepson. LOVE IT! Plus staff is really nice and exceptionally courteous.

I just like this place for their healthy options. It feels great taking the family to Native Foods so the kids can start seeing healthier options. The employees are always nice and very helpful. Skip it during the mall's busy hours because parking is a problem there.

I usually love Native Foods. I normally frequent the Bridgeport location but I ended up here one weekend. I wasn't too pleased with the food. The service, excellent! Very kind staff like any other Native Foods a Cafe. There was just something off about the fries. They tasted kind of awful, fake & very stale. The Native Wings were pretty good though. For some reason the flavor in food differs between the Clackamas & Bridgeport locations. I feel as though Bridgeport has a fresher flavor. Overall, however, Native Foods Cafe is awesome & I love their food. Just pointing out a difference in flavor between locations.

Taking a star off for my recent experience here.. I asked a girl to help me choose a dish that didn't have much broccoli. She said it's easy to pick out. Well ok, after ordering the BBQ bowl, I realized it's mostly broccoli. So half of the plate I paid for went in the garbage. The other half wasn't good at all, I couldn't finish it and I eat everything. Anyways still a great place to try, just don't get the BBQ bowl it's kind of awful. Adding to this months later - gyro bowl is awful too. This place is only food for sandwiches and chili

I'm always on the hunt for delicious vegan/vegetarian cuisine. Native Foods was a GREAT find. Although orders were backed up the day I went in, the food was well worth the wait. I ordered the Moroccan Bowl and it was SO delicious! My tummy and tastebuds were very pleased :).

Everyone is really friendly, not obnoxiously friendly either. The food tasted fresh, and was presented nicely, and quickly. The free refills on tea/lemonade is nice as most places hold back on that. This is my first time here, and I will be back. As for the food, I just didn't like what I ordered. I got the Oklahoma Bacon Cheeseburger, which sounded good, but wasn't the right mix of flavors for my liking. Next time I visit I will update my review on the food.

Our favorite vegan restaurant and stoked they now have a location on the East side too. The "chicken ranch burger" is tasty! Guarantee you will not believe it is vegan. Imagine a humongous tasty chicken nugget between two pieces of bread with all the fixings. Delish! My staple is the "Bangkok bowl". Grilled tofu strips; veggies and brown rice with a Thai curry sauce. Yum! Be sure to order the sweet potato fries and a side of chipotle mayo. That's my Kryptonite there. Wether you are vegan or not this place just has healthy food that is just plain tasty

Great healthy and nutritious food with an amazing taste! Food is all vegetarian, but the amount of protein in the dishes makes them incredibly filling!

  • E A.

Delish! Stopped in on a random Sunday and so glad I did. Normally when eating healthy I have found making good choices while eating out can be hard. But here the options are endless and sound so good. I got the Bombay bowl which was so filling and my sister got the avocado crunch wrap which she said she loved. All in all customer service was fabulous, food was fresh and totally tasty.

I am not a vegan, but if all vegan food tasted like this I could be persuaded. I had the Scorpion Burger. It was outstanding. Fries great too.

Love this place! Went here for the first time and the workers were super friendly :) the environment in the cafe is great. The food here is average price which makes it worth the money. I came on a Tuesday and I was starving and just scrolled through the menu and chose the ensalada azteca which was bomb. It's full of mouthwatering flavors, I need to learn how to make this salad. Seriously, recommend this place to people who wants to start a healthier lifestyle

You have to try this place! I almost ran for the hills when I heard vegan, but had a coupon for a free dessert so of course I had to try it. The food is absolutely DELICIOUS! The portions are generous too. If you order off the specials board, a free side is included! I had a buffalo chicken wrap, and would have never known it was meatless. So good! And I chose a Cubano soup for my side, which was hot and perfectly prepared-the flavor and texture-just delicious. Lots of choices on the menu if you or your group can't decide if they want salad, mexican, burgers, a rueben, even a gyro...so many choices here! The patient and willing staff will help you decide and get your head around their concept and answer every question you have! This burgers and steak girl is telling you, try Native Foods Cafe!

Oh yayyyyy! I love Native Foods!! I am glad to have another one in the Portland area! Their food is as delicious as delicious gets! I am not a huge fan of the price... but it's worth it, dude. I really like their "handheld" items... burgers, sandwiches. The nachos are good too! Three cheers for Native Foods Cafe!

  • Chantelle V.

Had lunch here today with my Sister. Our first visit. We were a bit confused at first and unsure about the meat alternative offerings, so we ordered items that were all veggie and no wannabe meats. Very friendly employees explained the menu to us. Everything we ordered (salad, soup, sandwich) was fresh & delicious...and the watermelon drink is yummy!

I don't care to eat vegan or vegetarian all too often, but this place sure makes it desirable. The menu options are enormous and it's not just with a variety of vegetables, the protein options are awesome! I have eaten here 3 times now and every time i pick up the menu i feel a bit overwhelmed because so many things sound so good! I have tried something different each time and have enjoyed them all. The portions for the salads and bowls are huge. I had enough left over for a second meal and it's nice that they put the to-go boxes out for you to take as you need. Service has been spot on every time. The outdoor seating option is really nice. And the fresh mint and lemons at the beverage bar is a nice touch. You can sign up for their "club card" and earn perks towards menu items and something special for your birthday. The one negative: clackamas is so far from my typical every day life.

I've come back a few times since my bad review because everyone has an off day. Got the thai meatball bowl today- amazing! And decided to splurge with a oatmeal creme pie- holy cow that thing is incredible and I am so mad at myself because I will now forever want one when I come in here!!!

It is extremely difficult to find GF options while traveling. This place is 20 minutes from the airport and has an incredible menu...you really can't go wrong. The staff is super friendly and helpful. Outdoor/indoor seating, kid friendly, and if you like mall shopping it's located within an outdoor shopping center. Yeah

Let me start this by saying that I've been eating at Native Foods for probably close to a decade, first at the Westwood location and then at the Costa Mesa and Tustin, CA locations. I used to LOVE Native Foods. There were so many delicious meals on the menu. I now live in Oregon and the food has taken a nosedive, both in quality and variety, since the corporate expansion (and sell out). The prices continue to go up with the decline in food. I hope that Chef Tanya got really rich because the new owners/ investors have destroyed what she built. They are constantly changing recipes and not for the better. It's to the point where I'm considering never giving them another chance. The only times I ever even consider going to Native Foods now is if I'm at Clackamas Town Center or Bridgeport Village and I get hungry. I would never choose to eat here anymore given pretty much any other vegan option. The only thing that isn't disappointing or just downright terrible now are the fries. The food used to be lovingly prepared and unique creations. Now it just leaves me disappointed and wishing I hadn't wasted my money and calories.

I've been here twice. It's a little spendy, especially for lunch but well worth it. Portions are big and there are so many choices. The hardest part is deciding what to order. Everything is delucious!

This place RULES!!! What a delicious menu, the desserts are so SO good! and the staff is super friendly and seem to really enjoy their jobs! This place is tasty for ANYONE! I dare you meat eaters to give it a try!!! ;) I would love to see them come out with breakfast foods and even more gluten free options !! That would make this place 10 star in my book!!

I love this place! Everything I've had so far is delicious, plentiful, filling and a great buy. I'm glad they are proving that healthy food can be rich and delicious. Their burgers are great and the nachos are amazing.

What a great find! The food was outstanding, the staff very friendly and caring, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Some of the best Vegan food I've had in a long time. They even have a rewards card so we were able to earn a free desert. YUMMY....

  • Jessie D.

Tried Native Foods for the first time. Honestly I almost walked out when I saw that they had no meat. I'm somewhat adventurous when it comes to food so I gave it a try. There's so many options! To be safe I ordered the portobello and sausage (native sausage seitan) burger and it was delicious! Definitely will be back to try other items on the menu.

  • Jarrod S.

So Native foods has been open a few months now, and in that time I am afraid to say, that I have only eaten here about 20 times or so. The food is outstanding, and not just as vegan food. Take a meat eater here and I guarantee they will enjoy it. I have tried a lot of different items and I come back to a few dishes. The Oklahoma bacon cheeseburger, and the Chicken run ranch burger. The bacon cheeseburger isn't a patty at all, its super thin sliced tempeh, with fried pickles, bbq sauce, a cheese sauce and ranch dressing. They use about double of the "meat" that they should so attack that bad-boy with a fork and save the embarrassment of trying to UN-hinge your jaw. They have beer for about 4 bucks and wine by the glass. They teas and lemonades that they make in house are so good that I actually forgo beer with my meal every other time. Sides aren't required unless you are sharing and starving as portions are huge. The oatmeal creme pie is a must for desert. They have a rewards card so take advantage of that, and rumor has it they are opening a downtown location!

    (5)
  • Amy L.

Service is really nice, but I would recommend Veggie Grill over Native Foods any day. The food is alright, but nothing to particularly write home about. It's also a very long commute from downtown so unless you're living in Clackamas, it's definitely not worth it.

    (3)
  • K B.

I like it, and would eat here often if I lived close by. The sweet potato fries with chipotle dipping sauce are AMaZingly delicious. I also like the bowls, lots of good food for $10 or less. I also have to give a shout out for the beverages- yay to lavender lemonade and watermelon with mint.

  • Erika S.

I really wanted to like this place. Service was good. Prices okay... The kids gf Mac and cheese is disgusting. Do not order this for your kids. I had the coconut soup of the day. It was okay. Flavor was fine. Veggies too chunky and not cooked through. I would not order it again. My free watermelon fresca was okay. The best thing I had... But I wouldn't waste my money. If I was thirsty I might try something else. Desserts looked good...

I have been enjoying Native Foods for years and was very happy to have a second location open in the Portland area. The staff is friendly and offered me sides for my fries without charging which I thought was a big bonus. If you haven't been you really need to check them out!!!

I had a fantastic meal (Sausage Mushroom Burger) and my 7 year old had the kids Mac n Native Cheese with Native fries. Though the food was AMAZING, the portion size for the children's meal was tiny. I recommend getting your child a regular meal if they are older than a toddler. We sampled the lavender lemonade and blueberry tea. We also tried the Peanut Butter Parfait and Key lime pie. The Parfait was VERY rich and tastey, but my favorite was the Key Lime. :9

Came here with my dad while visiting from California. This cafe has a brilliant operation. The ambiance is clean, organized, artsy, and relaxing. The food is far above average for how fresh, inexpensive, diverse, and tasty it is. The cashier was a sweat heart, and knew the menu. The runner brought our food, and had them replace the potato salad I ordered for my dad because he can't do onions. He was helpful and attentive while still letting us enjoy our meal. The African peanut soup was flavorful, and my too heavy for a "cream" based soup. The hibiscus tea was refreshing with the slightest sweetness. The side salad for $4.95 was a nice deal because of the attractive presentation, shredded beets, sunflower seeds, and algal oh spouts. (Though everything in Oregon feels like a good deal without sales tax) My dad had the French Market Muffaletta. He said it was fantastic, and he had no idea it was vegan. Overall perfect lunch or casual dinner spot. Lastly, I've been to native foods all over California, and I was joyful to see that the quality here in Portland was identical.

  • Laurel H.

I was underwhelmed. We had the Reuben, Tuscan Garbanzo soup, and the Oatmeal Cream Pie. Everything was okay but nothing was yummy. And it was fairly expensive. I might comeback if I was having lunch with a vegan but not otherwise.

My boyfriend and I are obsessed with this place. We first went to the Bridgeport location and were hooked from first bite. Well worth the trip out there for us. Then we noticed they were in the middle of opening another in Clackamas (10 mins away from us now instead of half an hour) and we freaked. We were just talking about how much we wanted to go to the original Portland location and BAM! It was like seeing heaven. The wait for it to officially open was maybe a few weeks and it seemed like forever but once it did, we have gone there so many times we finally got some great rewards from their program. We love supporting such an incredible all-vegan food chain and hope only the best for it! Each time we go, we try to have something different and usually split each of our meals half-and-half so we get experience with the items. It's so good you will want to share and try it all. Have to say that our favorite is the Twister Wrap with crispy tofu -- it never fails; as with the Taco Salad. For when we don't feel like being all too healthy, we love the Oklahoma Bacon Cheeseburger, the Portobello and Sausage Burger and the Meatball Sub. Ugh, I'm salivating just looking at the menu.... Oh, and their "meat" here is so delicious, we are often dumb-founded. The watermelon fresca is incredible too, but it can be a little inconsistent with the agave levels (we like it au natural ourselves). The only thing I would love to see different is that the menu always disclose when there is cilantro. I'm one of those people who biologically cannot get over the terrible taste and it is so abundant here that I feel like I'm always asking for it off when I may or may not have to (there also isn't an option for the online ordering to ask for it to be left off [maybe I'm not seeing an extra option?]). Oh! And if you could carry gluten-free O Mission beer (the Pale Ale kind is the best -- ask anyone who's had it), Native Foods would be absolute food heaven perfection.

I have been to this location several times this week and I finally felt like I had enough experience to really portray how I feel about Native Foods Cafe's Clackamas branch. The first time I received a VIP invite from one of the staff thus receiving a free appetizer, entree, dessert and beverage. The second and third times were on opening day. I had a Portabello and Sausage Burger for lunch today and some friends of mine wanted to meet at Native Foods for dinner. This place is hot and new and now it's time for my review! The staff seem to be a solid group of folks. They're courteous, happy-looking, and approachable. I really like it when I can come to a restaurant where I can get a quality smile. Having worked in restaurants earlier in my life, it can be hard to smile at all when working in the food industry. Their service was fantastic on each visit. Many of them seemed to just float around and see if everyone was okay, if they could grab you a refill on your watermelon fresca (protip: add more mint to your glass), or get you anything really. So I really digged the staff. They rocked it. As far as the food goes, being a non-vegan eating in a completely vegan restaurant, I really enjoyed everything that I had the pleasure of tasting. There's a variety of things and honestly I can't wait to try more. The food seems to just melt in your mouth with such flavor. It's great! For appetizers, I have had the Native (seasoned) Fries which seems to be the default fry choice, but have also enjoyed the Sweet Potato Fries which were yummy, and also the Native Chicken Wings. So I liked both types of fries, I can't really recommend one over the other! The Chicken Wings, which is a chicken substitute, were great! You get six of them, dip them in the ranch and their buffalo sauce (Frank's Red Hot). They were full of flavor and went well with my sweet potato fries. On two of the occassions, I fell into temptation with the Portobello and Sausage Burger. It has portabello mushrooms, seitan for the sausage, caramelized onions, pomodoro, sweet garlic, pumpkin seed pesto and mayo. I would rather have this over a burger and fries any day. It's mouth-watering and delicious. I want another as I type this. Try it, I recommend this burger. I really liked the beverage selection also. You can get a purchase a glass and fill it with whatever you want from a variety of choices. Those choices are Lavender Lemonade, Watermelon Fresca, Hibiscus Iced Tea and also peached organic iced tea. There are various sweeteners, lemons, mint and so forth to add to your drinks. They're all refreshing, but I highly recommend trying the Watermelon Fresca. It has watermelon juice and mint, delicious. I've tried various desserts, because I took a mix batch home with me after I visited the first time, hehe. I've had the Oatmeal Creme Pie, the Chocolate Cupcake, a Peanut Butter Parfait, and Brownie. My favorite out of them all is the Oatmeal Creme Pie and it consists of a whipped vanilla creme sandwiched between two oatmeal cookies. It's amazing, I've had three. The cupcakes are very tasty; however, the frosting on them is extremely rich so use caution. I would say that 1/4 of that frosting would be sufficient for the size of the cake, but that's just me. The brownies are great. I only had a bite of the parfait, so I can't say so much about it other than it was one tasty bite. All of the desserts are 2.95 and well-worth it. In the end, I have very little negative aspects to speak of when it comes to Native Foods Cafe. I will be returning to the establishment in the future and would recommend it to my friends and family. They really delivered and I am eager to see what they can offer in the future, because the menu changes seasonally!

FOOD IS GREAT!! Have been coming here and to the one at Bridgeport for quite sometime now. Have never had someone who worked there give me such an attitude as the girl (ALYSSA) did working the front. I asked her if she wanted my email and she rudely answered "yea, I'll get it after I repeat your order back" then when I told her I thought I had a birthday $10 gift she said, "well I don't see it, show me the email". Like I'm going to just make this up. Turns out it's only valid for 7 days prior or after your birthday. She basically smiled and sarcastically said oh well. Will only go to the Bridgeport location from now on where they know how to treat returning customers.

Always a great place to stop by for a quick healthy meal. Their chicken burger tastes like a chicken burger. Hit with the kids. Great variety and flavors.

My wife and I showed up on opening night. The staff were friendly and attentive. Good speed of service and portion size. My roommate in college was vegan and I might have tried some of his stuff if his food was as good as the food here! As a guy that likes his micro brews I liked the local choices available. I'll be back and bring my old roommate with me

This place is still as awesome as ever; I go here as much as I can afford. I am now addicted to their cupcakes and need a 12-step program to quit. The cupcakes aren't only good for being vegan, but they're just delicious cupcakes in general.

Fantastic! Everything I've had on the menu is delicious, and the lavender lemonade is amazing. The staff is super friendly and helpful. My daughter loves the chickn nuggets and fries! It's a good amount of food for the price and is just an overall good experience going in there. I recommend it to, vegan or carnivore!

Buffalo wings! So good! Nice texture, creamy ranch and right amount of spicy hot. I love them. Also, the italian meatball sub is very tasty; again, creamy sauce, nice italian spices and chewy bread. Wow! Carrot cupcake with caramel frosting! Awesome spot for well made vegan casual.

I don't like giving bad reviews. This is my Saturday and Id like to enjoy it. I'm a vegan chef do I know what it's about and I know that the offerings are supposed to blow away people. I've been here 3 times and it's now the charm. Wasn't happy the first time. The second time I got the fried chix wrap with extra chix and there's wasn't any extra but of course I paid for it. Today was just awful. I got the soul bowl with extra chix and corn bread both present. The menu points out the red beans and rice is the star next to the chix. When in reality it's a barely there after thought just a really thin paper like layer below steamed vegetables. $14 counting the extra items added which all together was a complete disappointment. I'm not sure why people rave about this place it's for vegans in desolate places without options. I can see those people raving about it. It's like glorified vegan hospital food if there was such a thing. A total waste of a Saturday meal and a lot of money down the tubes. Go to veggie grill which is better.. I'm sorry but I had to say it now that I'm aggravated...

I love the menu here. Everything is so fresh and flavorful and I'm not vegetarian. I had the Meatball Sub and my wife had a Kung Pao Bowl. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We will be back. What a pleasant, healthy start for the new year.

How did I not know about this place until now? Amazing vegan food! Super nice staff. Dishes had perfectly cooked vegetables and seasonings. Reasonably priced. I immediately took advantage of their holiday special and bought a $100 gift card and got a free $20 gift card for myself.

The choices were ample, food fresh and delicious but the service was what really made this a 5-star rating.

Have tried it several times and the menu is an interesting variation on vegetarian comfort food. Think cheese burgers and sweet potato fries, warm soups, deli sandwiches, crispy chick'n sandwiches with a chipotle mao. And all vegan. Our group tried lots of things and our favorites were: the watermelon juice, Azteca salad (spicy, crispy, fresh flavors) Veggie Ruben (salty, savory), Bistro steak sandwich (flavorful and interesting), Oklahoma 'cheese' burger (even the meat eaters liked this a lot), and an almondy strawberry parfait (a seasonal item). The nachos were just OK, nothing special, the lemongrass broccoli was bland, and the sweet potato fries has good flavor but needed to be crispy and they weren't. Staff was very friendly. Order at the counter and they bring your food to your table on the sidewalk, or to the bright cheerful tables inside.

While I've heard highly of the Native Foods in Tualitin, I decided to check out the new one in Clackamas. I ordered my food on a non-busy morning and it took pretty long which is fine. But then as I started eating I found a white hair in my food, thinking it could possibly just be thread I continued eating to soon find a black hair in my food! So I dug around and there was another one! I was disgusted! I told them and they didn't do anything about it, so I left and never want to come again. Horrible customer service in my eyes :/

This is one of those places that you don't forget, for all of the right reasons! I Was visiting Portland and was on the way to another restaurant that served vegan options and this place happened to be only a flight of stairs away. So we walked in to look at the menu...the more I read, the more excited I got. Lots of great options, unique combinations, and the desserts cannot be resisted. After much deliberation, I decided on the portobello and sausage burger, lavender lemonade and a chocolate cupcake. Sold!!! I am going back to visit Portland next weekend and this will likely be my first stop when I arrive and my last stop before departing! I hope they come to Tacoma/Seattle area soon. Thoroughly enjoyed this place!!!!

I am so happy that this new location exists because it's so much closer to southeast Portland. I finally found a dish I really enjoy that is gluten free. The Baja tempeh tacos are where it's at. The potato salad side, gf mac and cheese and peanut butter parfait are not bad either. Be prepared that 2-3 employes will come to your table and offer you sauces, drinks etc. Everyone that works here is super nice. Unlimited lavender lemonade and mango ice tea is probably how they keep their sanity listening to soft rock Starbucks music all day.

We (three non-vegans) ended up here by chance because the line was too long at Chipotle and I'm sure glad we did! The food went beyond my expectations. I had a taco salad and it was so good and filing. I'm usually hungry after ordering a salad but this one filled me up and was so delicious. My meat loving step dad said his meatball sub was one of the best he's had! The service was excellent and everyone was very friendly and happy. I was really impressed and will absolutely be back.

I took my husband and ordered a variety of dishes. Even for the meat eater he was very pleased with the sausage portabella burger. He got the side of split pea soup that was very yummy. The nachos are humongous and hit the spot. We ordered an appetizer of the chicken wings we were curious about them. They come in actual strips deep fried with two dipping sauces upon request. The first little one was tasty a bit dry but had good flavor. I picked up a larger one and bit into it and to my dismay the batter was still raw inside. I know that there is nothing that will make you sick but it was just the idea of raw dough that was very off putting. I checked the others and there were the same. At the end of the meal the manager came over and asked if we needed anything so I mentioned the chicken strips and showed him the raw dough. He promptly refunded them to our card and took off the drink orders as well. There are so many establishments now a day that don't care when customers have a problem and can't be bothered with it. It was very refreshing to have a restaurant really be there for the customer and want to make the experience enjoyable enough to come back and visit again. I will visit again and even maybe try the chicken strips a second time.

Now owned by a major franchise group and no longer ran by the famous organic chef who began it....Native Foods is still a great vegan/vegetarian restaurant. The only flaw is you have to go up to the counter and order your food now. More like a fast food restaurant. It's lost the warm restaurant feel. Staff is a little disorganized, and ordering can be a bit confusing. But the quality is still there. The wraps and Saigon roll are a must.

The food is really good here but someone in the kitchen needs to wear a hairnet. I found a long blond hair in my scorpion burger. I had read another yelp review where someone found white and black hairs in his food. I just can't go back because I am kind of grossed out...

By chance we were looking for a place to eat before a movie last week. My husband turned vegan last year and always a challenge to find food. Not anymore! This place exceeded our expectations. We had salads and appetizers all high quality. Staff very friendly! Only wish he could eat here every lunch time but his business in Gresham. Please have one there!

So I tried Native Foods Cafe today, and I wasn't all that impressed, it was my first time going in and I ordered the twister wrap, I figured I would choose something easy since it was my first time and I got it to go. I also got the potateo salad and a drink. All start with the drinks Basically you get to choose between tea and lemonade and water; Lavender Lemonade, watermelon fresca, native iced berry tea, and native green tea. My two favorite where the lemonade Lavender and watermelon fresca since it had some sweetness to it the other ones tasted really weird. The poateo salad was pretty decent, didn't eat all of it but it was kind of plain and a little to much parsley added to it ( i think that's what it's called parsely or cilantro one of those) Now to the wrap. I took my first bite and it was sweet, I kind of liked it but, way to sweet!! while I was eating it, all the stuff started falling out and it was really sloppy and juicy and soggy, it was a whole wrap cut in half and the other half was supper soggy. I thought that the "chicken" tasted weird and then finally discovering it wasn't real chicken it made sense. I think it was okay but without the sauce and I didn't really like the soy based "chicken" I just figured out that it's a vegan restuarunt. The staff where friendly but didn't really guide me to there menu so I didn't really know what to get. It was really neat and clean and I liked the feel of it inside. I'll probably try this place again just so I can get a better feel on what it's like, and maybe I'll do some more reasearch before I order, I gave it a three because it had some pro's over the cons.

I am so torn right now! I went to this place the first time a couple of days ago, and had the crispy chicken, bacon and avo club with steamed kale instead of the bread. It was one of the most delicious things I've had in my life!!! I'm a vegetarian and I love this kind of food so I was absolutely over the moon. I signed up for their rewards card and got a $10 credit for my birthday (yay!!). I ordered the daily special to go. The Oklahoma burger with a side of Jamaican callaloo soup. The soup was a little salty, but overall good but the Oklahoma burger was absolutely inedible. I got it on kale again, and the kale was drenched in water (there was a pool at the bottom of my to go container) and the dish was missing BBQ sauce, ranch dressing, fried pickles, and crispy bacon. How do you miss FOUR major components of a dish??? It had no flavor whatsoever, which is what those ingredients would've provided! I can't really complain too much because I got it for free (yay for birthdays) but I'm still shuddering thinking about how disgusting it was. The customer service here really is phenomenal and I'm sure they would've fixed the problem but I went out of my way to get this and it was unfortunately too late for me to return by the time I realized what had happened. I probably won't go out of my way to come back here again, which is extremely unfortunate for this vegetarian :(

This Fooodie Couple thanks Native Foods so much for the VIP passes for the soft opening. Native foods patron loyalty program really rocks. We got to meet some of the new management, everyone was very nice. Our passes scored us each a appetizer, entree with side, dessert, and beverage. We scored well over $50 worth of eats for free and patrons gave their new staff a workout. They were so busy during the soft opening and the staff kicked butt on their efficiency. We never had the faux buffalo chicken wings with dipping sauce. We would order that again. Nachos were yummy and a huge portion. Bombay wrap was good. The chef might note to watch the amount of curry used for this. It was a little sharp for my taste like heavy mustard seed and turmeric? Not as good as their pervious cauliflower bombay sub that they previously had as a special item at some of their other locations. As for the scorpion burger the tempeh was not exactly what I would call blackened. The Tortilla soup was most excellent I would order a double portion of that if we didn't have so much food already. The desserts and the lavender lemonade are always a home run. We get that lemonade without fail every time we go to native foods. We love native foods and will return often. As for executive chef Kendall Huff we will miss your charisma and expert presentation skills for all of the vegan cuisine demos. Good luck to native foods and your new location at Clackamas town center mall. When can a girl get some stock options? Wink Wink!

LOVE that I don't have to worry about whether the food is vegan or not. And they have a gluten-free menu to boot! The food is very good and I like the outdoor seating. The staff was very helpful and service was good. I'll definitely be going back when I go to Clackamas to shop!

Unbelievable! So happy to have found this hidden treasure, disguised as a location on the outskirts of Clackamas Town Center, while incredible vegan (only!) fare is sold and consumed. I hope these cafés can remain in business, with the prices as low as they are. So, so, SO good! Wow. I recommend EVERYTHING, and especially suggest the bottomless watermelon fresca drink, which tastes like and appears to have been made minutes before drinking it.

This is probably my favorite place to go near my work! One of the best vegan restaurants I have been to, and I am not even vegan or vegetarian to say the least. The staff is always friendly, food is always served promptly, and the flavor in every dish I have had is GREAT. The only downside was the one time I got an order to go, and they gave a VERY small portion of sweet potato fries to my boyfriend.

I've been to this location 3 times already and haven't been disappointed once. The service is great, too. Our food came out in, apparently, just over ten minutes. The server offered us a free dessert because of the "delay." Had it been 20-30 minutes? Sure, but not for 12. The food is good, the location is convenient, and it's an all-around positive experience.

Such kind and helpful people here! Clean, beautiful. & the food was AMAZING! Even my meat-loving boyfriend enjoyed something here- and he hates vegetarian/ vegan food. (at least he tells himself that). ;)

We finally went to Native Foods last night and now I'm mad that we waited so long to go! The food was great. Presented very well, too. My initial thought was the prices were a little high, but after being served the food, it is definitely worth it. The employees were very friendly and the place is very clean. We will definitely be back often.

Just went here this weekend with friends for breakfast. Customer service was wonderful, customers around me were friendly & happy. Their menu was quality and my breakfast muffin and coffee was top shelf. So happy Bob's Red Mill is in our area.

The food was amazing! It was fun fresh and exciting compared to the other options that were around. We ordered the nachos, and the blackened chicken tacos. The nachos were worth price of admission alone! Service was wonderful and it was an experience that our whole group enjoyed!
